Artist Statement

As an artist I would like to experience a broader view of mediums to use in order to expand my horizons as an artist. Some of the mediums I intend to use are acrylic paint, photoshop, and photography. From these mediums I have used acrylic paint the most, then photoshop and finally photography the least. However even with my prior experience with acrylic paint it is what I am least comfortable with. For the rest of the year i plan to use photoshop the most because as of now it is my favorite medium to use. A common theme throughout my works of art is culture and friendship. I show culture in my works by portraying Italian-Americans and showing my modern culture I am apart of around my friends. I show this through food music and pictures with significant meaning. The other main idea friendship, is shown a lot more through my earlier works. I try to show friendship through many different angles such as sports, business, and school. As the year progresses i hope to improve on my artwork and continue using my main themes.
